We are currently considering candidates for the following position:

  • Shift Engineer (F/T)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs all assignments involving the Engineering aspects of a full-service hotel: Plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC, painting, wallpapering, carpentry, drywall, hardware replacement/repair, furniture assembly, TV/radio, pool treatment, kitchen equipment repair & maintenance.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance work on equipment and systems by inspecting, testing, replacing parts, adjusting, cleaning and recording results.
  • Monitors and operates mechanical systems and equipment such as boilers and pressure vessels, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, electrical distribution and emergency power, refrigeration, pools, fire and safety equipment.
  • Maintains a high standard of workmanship and following all building codes and standards.
  • Ensures correct and safe use of all power and hand tools.

Qualifications:

Excellent opportunity for an individual with proven problem-solving and organizational skills who is able to complete physical tasks in a fast-paced environment within a strong team atmosphere. Successful candidate must have broad plumbing & electrical experience and a clearly demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems with pumps, boilers, chillers, HVAC, as well as knowledge of Preventative Maintenance procedures. Strong attention to detail, communication and guest services skills and the tify opportunities for improvement, uiriesability to work flexible hours (including days, evenings, weekends, holidays) are required. 4th or 5th Class Power Engineer Ticket is an asset.
