The key to providing this exceptional service level is our team and we are currently considering candidates for the following position:

Relief Night Manager / Night Auditor

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in leading the overnight operations of the hotel and will consistently provide a warm welcome and exceptional experiences to our guests in a prompt and courteous manner within the framework of hotel and departmental guidelines. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): maintenance of service standards & guest satisfaction at the highest level; motivation, training, and development of team members.

  • Check-in and check-out services
  • Answering guest inquiries, accommodating special requests, and assisting in resolving and concerns or issues in person or via telephone
  • Prepare, check, and correct room rate variances by conducting thorough audits
  • Ensure wake-up calls are set for the morning to ensure accuracy & complete as required
  • Runs the nightly processing sequence to reset systems for the next days' use
  • Prepares and transmits credit card deposits
  • Balance the rooms audit
  • Keep team informed of all problems, emergencies and unusual matters of significance
  • Adheres to all established credit and inventory control procedures
  • Present statement of charges to departing guests and receive payment
  • Identify and record special billing instructions and notify Accounting
  • Minimize loss of revenue by adhering to all established credit and inventory control procedures
  • Ensure the security of keys, company, and guest information
  • Administrative duties including reports, payroll, scheduling
  • Report unsafe work conditions, areas requiring repair or suspicious persons
  • Assisting with emergency response as required

Qualifications:

Excellent opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented leader, with minimum 2 years Night Audit/Front Desk experience in a similar environment. Candidate must have exceptional guest service and communication (both verbal and written) skills, a polished, professional demeanor, and strong attention to detail, as well as proven leadership and problem-solving abilities. Some Post-Secondary education is required, preferably in a recognized Hospitality Program, as well as schedule flexibility to include weekends and public holidays as needed. Strong knowledge of computer systems required, OPERA (or similar) and additional languages are preferred.
